And here we go, second in my line of family portraits, we’ve got the perfect summary of the QuibbleDash family right here: Rainbow doesn’t want anything to do with picture time, Quibble’s trying to get her to soften up and hug her son, and J-bird is daydreaming in the background in an attempt to escape being there. This whole family is just full of sarcasm, passive aggression and stubborn-ness- and poor JingleJangle in the background trying to keep up with it all.
Let me just drop a couple headcanons on ya’ll:
- Rainbow Crash Strikes Again: an injury as a Wonderbolt took Rainbow Dash out of the game for awhile around the same time she and Jibber Jabber officially stopped talking. She’d never admit to it, but it was the fight they’d had before that distracted her during her big show and sent her cascading into that mountain. She received partial sight loss in her left eye from the accident and has yet to fully recover from what happened. She’s been on leave for almost a year now, something Spitfire initially suggested so the mare could get back on good terms with her son while she healed- but now that all the physical healing is done, the old Wonderbolt Lead is starting to wonder when the two are gonna start their own healing.

- Professor Pants: so this guy went on to become an esteemed professor majoring in writing studies and composition, as while as minoring in history and mythology, a good few years before he and Rainbow got married, so he’s been in the literature game for quite a while now. He’s written a few books, some of them autobiographical, others being fiction, he hasn’t quite found his niche in writing just yet, but it’s more of a hobby than an actual career for him at this point- so he’s pretty content with what he’s put out so far. Now if only he could be content with his home life and the relationship between his wife and only son.
- Daydreamer: something I didn’t really touch on in JambaJuice’s profile is that he’s an avid daydreamer. Whether it involves thinking up the next few lines of his articles or staring off into no where in an attempt to remove himself from his mom’s lecturing, he’s generally just a pretty spacey individual. Something that likely developed as a defensive mechanism and very quickly evolved into a bad habit.
Alright, cool- I changed a few things from Jemima’s profile to suit my new headcanons for his parentals, which someday I might change over there, but for now- yeah…woo!
