Princess Skyla is the sixth (and last) child and fifth-born daughter to Shining Armor and Princess Cadence. Already having four grown children and one teenager, Cadence made Shining Armor go to the doctor to have the little soldiers vacated from the barracks–if you get what I’m saying.
Being born during a busy time in the life of the Queen of the Crystal Empire, Cadence often leaned on her friend Pinkie Pie to help watch the baby. Pinkie did so eagerly–never outgrowing her immense love for children. Spending so much time in the house time in the wild Sandwich/Pie residence had lasting effects on the toddler. It all started when Cadence picked up Skyla from the sitter’s one day and her mane frizzed out in the classic Pie way. Cadence would try her best to tame her daughter’s wild mane but it simply had a mind of its own and would not behave no mater what products were put in it or what stylist played with it. The Queen eventually gave up.
Besides adapting the Pie’s wild manestyles, Skyla also started picking up on the Sandwich/Pie family’s not-so-princessy mannerisms including sporadic parties, loud and obnoxious jokes, pranks, and baking-~~ungodly amounts of baking. It was impossible for the Queen to be upset by this though–she saw the light in her daughter’s eyes and how happy this not-so-princessy behavior made her Cadence and Shining Armor never interfered in her daughter’s desire to “be like Aunt Pinkie” when she grows up. Pinkie Pie herself feels an odd sense of maternal pride towards Skyla.

~~ Currently Skyla lives in Ponyville with her “Aunt” Pinkie and her family while she attends school. Her older brother often stops by for cider and muffins at Sugarcube corner to spoil his babiest sister and Pinkie’s younger children with his newest story of heroism, danger, and adventure! During her downtime however, she is always at the Cutie Mark Day Camp in hopes to get her cutie mark as quickly as possible–she secretly hopes its her destiny to be a secret agent.

I really wanted a Skyla in my Next Gen that wasn’t necessary like all the other Skyla’s out there!
Needless to say I’m very please with how she looks ^^
