Basically what happened is Trixie is a performer. Now that she’s a laughing stock, nopony will take her seriously or watch her shows. Ergo, she can’t make any money doing what she loves, and has to resort to hard physical labor that she has never been trained for just to get by.
 
While her actions are over-the-top mean, she has every right to be angry. Her anger is misguided, sure, but angry people are always misguided. The worst bullies, again, are the most deeply wounded.

The ponies have basically got their minds set on thinking Trixie is a failure, and it will take a epic amount of work to get them to change their minds. When a person want’s to be difficult, they will be mother fucking difficult.

Okay, “totally ruined her life” is probably a bit of an overstatement. She hit a bump in the road, and a pretty big one at that, but it seems to me that she resigned herself to failure and destitution pretty quickly after getting mocked, as if getting made fun of is so devastating to her that it just totally demoralizes her and she thinks she’s a total failure. I think this might be an example of guilt from both Twilight and Trixie, Twilight for making her a laughingstock and Trixie for just giving up once ponies started making fun of her instead of trying to prove them wrong.  
But hey, the episode will tell all.

This is…better then what I expected, much better then what I though, looks like all we Trixie fans do not have to despair about Trixie becoming a total bitch.

While not grimdark, her life was fucked up pretty badly as a result of Boast Busters. She clearly tried to be halfway decent, but because her name was in the dirt no one gave her a chance.

So we’ve had Rarity’s dad and Pinkie’s dad make cameos this season. Makes me wonder if either of Twilight’s parents will be seen this season.

And so the Anti-Trixie butthurt brigade completely ignores the fact her life really was totally ruined and claims she deserves no sympathy at all.

@Applejack, no and neither is Fluttershy. You two are welcome to step to her and discuss this though, see what happens.
