Trender Hoof, though usually keeping his distance at the Carousel Boutique, still had the oddest obsession with Apple Jack. He hated to admit it, but he was in love, or falling at least. He would take his lunch breaks and sit under an apple tree in Sweet Apple Acres and just watch Apple Jack buck apples, until she would walk up to him and ask him to leave.
 
One of the days while he was sitting under his claimed apple tree, Apple Jack came up to him. As he stood to leave, like he usually would do, she stopped him. She spoke to him calmly, probably not in the rightest of minds, “Look, y’all come here daily for a reason. If y’all really want t’ try this whole relationship thing.. I- I guess I can give this a try..”
 
They were fine together, but all good things must come to an end. Apple Jack had found out that she was carrying an addition to her family, and she knew they weren’t ready for that kind of commitment. She ended things with Trender Hoof, without telling him of his child, and he continued his old life as Rarity’s companion in the boutique without knowing. Apple Jack had to take time off of her work on the farm to prepare for her new foal.
 
Years past, and Lance Jack found out his talent while shopping at Rarity’s boutique. His idols were Rarity and Trender Hoof, and he was only allowed to go to town twice every week. Apple Jack was quite surprised when she found out her boy got a job for Rarity, and told Lance to drop the ‘Jack’ from his name for protective reasons.
 
Despite her wishes however, Trender Hoof took Lance under his wing, seeing as Trender Hoof always wanted a kid and for all they knew, Lance’s dad was MIA.
 
Sooner or later they’ll have to find out, no one can keep that big of a secret all to themselves, can they…?
