This is the 18th of my series designing clothes for ponies with a flower theme. Finished with the mane six, this time I picked the flowers based on the flora’s meaning closest to what Night Glider seem to be associated with, keeping what colors suited her best in mind.
 
 
Night Glider’s flower is Night Blooming Water Lily, or the Night Blooming Lotus. In the languages of flowers it represents rebirth, mystic power (purple ones), knowledge (blue ones), optimism, estranged love, and purity of the heart and soul. I chose the Night Blooming Lotus in particular due to Night Glider’s special talent likely to be flying at night. It’s a dangerous thing to do! It’s actually banned here in the U.S.A. If you seen the first episode of the current MLP season (5) you can understand why rebirth is a large part of who she is- and her entire community, actually.
 
I also had a bit of trouble with choosing a new hairstyle for her. I didn’t want to brush down that great spiky ‘do - I didn’t think she’d want to back track to a more subdue look like before, so I was pleased when I found that style. Thank you Google!
