My guess is this takes place after Tirek’s attack, which would make Pinkie’s joke rather cruel.

Then again, considering the number of visitors the library must’ve had over the years, Pinkie’s joke would also ring true. Even if Golden Oak Library can no longer hold books, there are still a lot of memories attached to it.
