Well, their feud is older than they are. And they’re pretty damn old.
They’re old, and tired, and too old for this pointless fighting that tore their family apart decades ago. Enough is enough. They’re too old for this shit. It really is time to let it go.

You know there’s an old ponies’ home in Ponyville, right? Mare-Do-Well saved it from collapsing once.
I impressed myself by catching this and the pictured scene on my first viewing. _
I’m still hoping for an episode where the two of them make up properly. They’re a pair of grumpy old ponies who have held a life-long grudge against one another. That sort of thing doesn’t clear up in a day.
(Not that I’m shipping them here, but it’s obvious any old hatchets are long buried and rusting.)
