tbh Moony/NMM should know how Sombra feel :/ in era of Discord and Chrysalis popularity people ignored her completely, called her weak, bad, etc…

both are not appreciated by bronies and both are dark type villains (dark smoke, fear, illusions, nightmares, etc…)
Background Pony #A4AA
you are doing it wrong Sombra:
a) give money/cigars/porn with Celestia&Luna for Discord
b) fuck NMM and Chrysalis
and then they will accept you

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Sorry, wrong button.

The middle part, it still had some kickass stuff. The animation is noticeably improved, we got some incredible new magic, Shinning Armor and Cadence have a reason to exist, and best of all Spike saved the day!

So while I may bash on it’s villain endlessly, the episode as a whole was still pretty good. Bit mishandled, but not a catastrophe in any way.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

I didn’t say it was terrible, just that it was a stumble. Even though it’s definitly the weakest of the season openers to me it still isn’t the worst episode I’ve seen. Yeah the villain was boring and mishandled and not a lot happened for most of th

It wasn’t that bad. Not amazing, but shit bruh it wasn’t awful. Ponies are never awful. It offered some great characterization and worldbuilding, especially for Twilight. The best part of this episode is that it implies Twilight is finally starting to get over her irrational fear of failure and her self-doubt. As her heroic flaws since the very beginning, this is kind of a big deal.

Also, Scootaloo episode. Fuck to the yes.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Although it’s too early too tell, the episode titles seem to imply this season is going to involve a sort of going off of things set up in the last two seasons. Trixie is returning, Wonderbolt Academy rationally seems like it is going to address Rainbow’s somehow unfulfilled dream, etc…

Which sounds like a phenomenal idea, I just hope they can overcome the stumble I felt the season opener was.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Trixie’s been set up since the beginning as a foil for Twilight.

Shame she immediately dropped off the radar. Incoming broken fanons everywhere, when a character collects that much dust for so long you’re bound to rustle some jimmmies when you bring them back.

I just want the whole thing to be morally gray, and that they explore Trixie’s justification for acting out like she’s bound to. People do stupid, horrible things when they’re angry and hurt. Don’t forget, there HAS to be a friendship lesson. There’s yet to be an episode without some kind of aesop.

Another interesting between contrast between the two is that while Trixie is certainly less pleasent then Twilight, she’s ultimately more well adjusted, or as a poster whose name I can’t remember said in another Trixie pic “Her talent is succeeding at life” or something like that.

Twilight flips out and breaks down over things any half rational person could see are completely inconsequential, while Trixie seems very difficult to phase. She was never flummoxed by the challenges Twilight’s friends put forward and responded to them with cool, calculated skill, where as Twilight cracks very quickly under comfrontation. Even the Ursa Minor attack didn’t completely break her at first, as she did (after a moment of fear) try and fight it rather then panicking and fleeing, only breaking down when it was obvious to all she could not win. As contrasted to Twilight, who completely lost her mind over missing an inconsequential deadline she set for herself.

@Trick

That’s ultimately how I see her hating Twilight. Life has handed Twilight success on a silver platter at every corner of her life. Given the whole gypsy aesthetic, it’s a safe bet that Trixie is the absolute opposite. I see her as simply being bitter, and that bitterness has coelesced into seething hatred. She literally can’t function much longer without some form of closure, she simply has to go back and prove her superiority.

As for remaking the town in her image… Well, she’s probably a little less than sane at this point. But again, I want implications and exposition.

Evil for the lulz, no she has a reason it’s just stupid on the grand scheme of things; it’s a matter of pride she must embarrass the ones (in her mind) who showed her up

it’s much less about her being evil and much more about her being a prideful egotistical bitch in my views

like a how dare they be better than Trixie she’ll show them who’s better type of deal

If they go that way with Trixie, perhaps she could be the Twilight foil I expected Sombra to be.

Twilight has been gifted most of her power, both by fate and Celestia’s teachings, while Trixie has very little magic power and possibly few material possessions, as well as the basic clash of personalities.

The last thing we need is another “evil for the lulz” villain. I want to know that Trixie was beaten down to a hair’s breadth of giving up on everything, only to channel all of her rage at her circumstances into the drive needed to really fuck up the ponies she thinks are responsible for her long list of problems.

Less evil and just really, really angry. The only way she’ll ever find closure is if she makes the ponies that got the ball rolling in the ruination of her life suffer the way she has. Not even as a woobie, just a spurned, angry mare with an axe to grind.

I want them to attempt to justify it, damn it. There’s a friendship lesson in there somewhere.

Indeed. If anything, Sombra’s cool because he never got cocky. He was simply outmaneuvered.

No one ever plans for the wife toss anyways. Shining Armor is boss.

oddly I just want her to be the same just evil, no fall from grace just more learned and vengeful (which despite me wanting it to be like that is still absolutely stupid for her to be vengeful)

I’m willing to bet Trixie is insane at this point.

I hope the writers do more with her than just say “hyuk hyuk evil”. I’m cool with Trixie being a monstrous bitch, but I want to know why. She certainly wasn’t evil before, I want to see her fall from grace and how it broke her, and turned her into the brutal villainess she’s hinted to be.

They seem to be bringing Trixie back as a pure villain. She actually seems more dangerous then Sombra, since Trixie seems to be attacking the Elements in their homes.

Hey.

You’re all just jealous he planned much better than you when he was still sane.

He locked away the MacGuffin that can kill/banish him inside his own Castle which is a Shadow Realm of the Normal Castle, that can only be gotten to WITH DARK MAGIC, an animate door which runs from people opening it physically and anyone who tries Dark Magic to open it gets put into a trance like state where their fears become real and they fall into despair, and if they get past THAT there’s a great big fucking spire with a Anti-Magic Crystal trap at the top.

The only reason he lost is Spike decided to tag along.

See, Discord, I know you aren’t a ‘planning’ kinda guy but that could of saved you a lot of time to do more chaos.
