The only human features given to ponies are eyebrows, but they only show up to better convey emotions.
 
Mares don’t resemble horses but instead, they have a small nose and big eyes. What you have there is not human, but the formula for creating something cute. There is a reason why teddy bears have large eyes and small nose instead of large nose and small eyes. The only thing slightly human about large eyes and small nose is that its what makes a human baby look like a baby. We simply exaggerates the size of the eyes and downsize the size oc the nose whenever we need something look cute.

I don’t think male or female look more human than the other. the difference is it their face, mares nose raise at the end to make a kind of nose and stallions face go forward. Neither of those looks human but mare nose don’t look like horse either.
