IT HAS BEGUN
 
I’m going to start labelling all my ponified art with [MLP:___], obviously the underscores would be the abbreviations of whatever series it is! Might even redraw some old ones I did…fftt…
 
ANYWAYS. Here’s Shinichi and Ran from Detective Conan! I went back to Conan’s picture and removed his cutie mark, thinking the APTX-4869 would have altered the pony’s body and destroy the cutie mark (more or less forcing the now-shrunk pony to ‘earn it’ back, but in truth the pony’s body thinks they already earned it). Shinichi got his when he solved his first case and Ran when she earned her first karate champion title.
 
Despite being a pegasus, Ran’s pretty strong! It’s required by competition rules that pegasi must bind their wings and unicorns have a magic-disable spell used on them (think the portals from Equestria Games…). Her bones are stronger than the normal pegasi’s due to her training, but she can still fly.
 
As for Shinichi, he’s just same ol’ soccer playing Shinichi. I didn’t opt for a soccer ball cutie mark because he took it up to help him concentrate while thinking. Ran’s cutie mark is pretty obvious aha. She’s also purple because I referenced it to what Ran means in Japanese–orchid! So purple fit her perfectly~
 
Ran totally might not be thinking about kicking Shinichi’s butt.
 
I’ll totally be doing more. There’s not many r85’d Detective Conan so it’s easier to be creative without fearing copying others aha.
 
I’ll probably be releasing them like this: Detective Boys, Haibara & Agasa, Kogoro & Eri, Yusaku & Yukiko, Heiji & Kazuha, Kaitou KID & Hakuba, Kaito Kuroba & Aoko, Sonoko…fftt, probably will be doing a lot. They’re pretty fun to do aha. Feel free to ask about anybody else who I didn’t mention, I’m only on like…episode 139 so I don’t know the more recent new characters fft
