Dunno why, but I just got an idea looking at this pic. Vinyl, Octavia and Lyra were once in a band together, but on their way to a concert one night, they had an accident, killing all three. Now, on nights when the sky is clear and moon is full, ponies say you can still hear the whimiscal and alluring music of the three mares playing through the countryside, their spirits continuing to play for those that will listen.
 
In this pic, passersby thought they saw something near the lone grave on the hill, but shrugged it off, not knowing that the three beautiful mares were performing another under the moon concert…
