They were fallen because they were excommunicated when their beliefs no longer followed a more modernizing church.
 
Also, the elements as worship is even more ridiculous. Their usefulness is so sporadic it’s hilarious to think it will actually be beneficial to the public.

We don’t even worship Celestia. We worship Harmony itself. It binds us all together, guides us, drives us. The princess of the sun has merely headed our order for a thousand years.

I’ve done my work, Heresy. I’ve studied various passages of Celestia’s apostates and none of them advocated modern day standards on pony rights. You’re blind-sighted by your own ignorance. There has been proof of those things. And even now there is still a pretty strong pyramid of who owns what.
 
Also, I love the “If I weren’t a pacifist, I’d kick your flank” bit. Nothing but gold there.

What the hell do you mean “your kind?” You mean how I don’t believe bullshit spouted by you weirdos? Just because something has order doesn’t make it good. There has been a lot of spilled blood because of what the church “believed” was good for Celestia. Including inquisitions, torture, and even conquest. At least understand why I am mad at your faith.
