I hope you are aware that this was ONE of Faust’s ideas and she also mentioned that none of her ideas were meant to be considered canon, at all. It does not make Celestia a mother for any new-born creature or had those “motherly” moments, especially since it isn’t the same species or when she’s just looking after it for someone else. Twilight was meant to take care of him herself but was only a filly. And the only thing Celestia did that involved raising him was only to make sure he was just fed, that’s all.
PS: It does not make Spike a prince, either. And Faust never even said anything about that “Celestia is Spike’s mom”.
