Sugarcoat didn’t know why she was here. Canterlot Hugh wasn’t even her school, but she had been invited by her few friends to come join in on a dance rehearsal, and since they were friends with people who attended Canterlot High, they were allowed access.
She really didn’t know why she bothered. She wasn’t the type to goof around and talk amongst each other. She was a good dancer, however, due to her parents getting her dance lessons at a young age, but not this type of dancing.
She had been wandering through the halls of the high school, lost, when she had turned a corner and crashed into someone.
Twilight Sparkle.
Sugarcoat wasn’t quite sure what to make of the girl. She was clearly very intelligent, but was also completely socially inept and awkward. Sugarcoat was mildly surprised when Canterlot High accepted her so willingly, even after the “Midnight Sparkle” incident, regardless of Principal Cinch’s involvement. At the very least, the girl had friends.
Twilight stumbled back, falling on her back, her glasses flying almost comically off her face. Sugarcoat barely stumbled, watching as the teen slowly reorientated herself.
“Sugarcoat?” She asked, smoothing down her hair. She squinted to see, nearly blind without her glasses.
“Twilight.” Sugarcoat replied in greeting, kneeling down to retrieve her glasses. She took the opportunity to slide the glasses on for her, watching as her large purple eyes blink and readjust. Sugar couldn’t help but give a small smile at her confused expression. Twilight blushed, rubbing her cheek in embarrassment.
“W-what are you doing here?” She stuttered, slowly climbing to her feet. She stopped, realizing her tone. “Not that you aren’t welcome, I mean, I was just-”
“I was inviting to a dance rehearsal.” Sugar interrupted, “You need to work on your social speaking.”
“Oh, uhm, yeah.” Twilight looked taken aback by her brute honesty. “I… I didn’t know you danced.”
“Of course you didn’t, you didn’t have classes with me.” Sugar cocked her head. She wasn’t being dismissive or rude, despite her tone. Twilight, with all her inability to understand social cues, understood this at the very least.
“R-Right. Well, um… I was just leaving. I was tutoring in the library.” She began backing up, although quite unsure of what she should do.
“Come to the dance rehearsal with me.” It was more of a command than a suggestion, taking Twilight’s hand without much thought. “Your dancing is… awful. “
“Oh, um well, I-”
The two disappeared into the halls, Sugarcoat with a rare smile on her face.

Yup. This is my Sci-Twi ship.
I used Twilight’s new outfit design but got rid of the dumb ponytail and made it into a sort of bun. I also slightly changed Sugar’s hair and gave her a new outfit as well, a sweater-dress with leggings and flats.
