they keep a device quite similar to an ipod with them, they just have to set it up when their little to let it bond to their bodies, that way the device works with their muscles better- i want to say the wings are holographic, but you can touch them. idk. just a concept ive had in my head for humanized ponies. and i loooovvee things that glow.
 
Fluttershy’s obviously glitches from time to time as it was bonded with her much later than Rainbow Dash- whose had them since she was very small.
 
“cmon, I’ll help you up.”  
“I dont know, Rainbow. I haven’t used this thing in ages. What if it glitches and i fall?”  
“You won’t. I’ll be right here!.”
