Now here’s someone who gets it.
 
It’s fun to argue legitimacy (and let’s admit it,FlutterMac no matter how supposedly the characters are “compatible” is a ship just based on assumptions),None of the main characters is dating/fucking anyone in the show.

For all we know, Fluttershy’s might just be that timid friend of AJ to Big Mac. And just because they are both quiet (though in Fluttershy’s case is because of shyness, and in Big Mac’s it’s apparently just introversion) doesn’t mean they are “compatible”. She likes to hang out with more out-going friends like Rarity and RD and strives to be more open. Long-running does’t mean it’s any less crack.

I’ve never seen this before.  
Trotsky: Fluttermac isn’t crack shipping since it’s both long-running, the characters know each other, and they seem compatible personality-wise. Crack shipping would be two characters who’ve never interacted, and likely would never interact, and yet they fall in love despite odd personality dynamics. For example, Gilda and Vinyl Scratch would be a crack-ship, but Rainbow Dash and Soarin’ would not.

I’ve seen many Pegasus x Earth pony and some Earth pony x unicorn couples and couples of their respective species. But I’ve never see any Unicorn x Pegasus couples in the show.  
Are they compatible?
