Given his new curriculum for med school (it seems,) I didn’t expect any more drawings from lolover.
 
(I am also not complaining.)
 
Personally, in the midst of stressing out over school and classes, I think it’s crucial that he takes time out to do things he likes (even if it’s not drawing). Being in graduate school myself and in doing a ton of stressful work (not quite as stressful as having to literally outdo your cohort,) I don’t think it’s worth it to completely neglect enjoyable aspects of life in order to get your job. Even a year of just work and the occasional beer or video game isn’t worth sacrificing a year of pure pain, in my opinion.
 
We’re (generally) young, unobligated, bright, and, um, quirky people. We probably won’t be for all that long. Hard work (and a lot it) is necessary as budding adults, but we need more than just keeping our heads to a grindstone.
 
Life just isn’t worth it otherwise.
