Actually, the actor of the Child Catcher was once a teacher at a children’s ballet school and, while he did find the role fun (he was good around kids) he regretted it because the kids he taught were scared of him. The only time he would menace them is if he thought they were being lazy instead of doing something their parents paid good money for them to do when they got signed up.
