Emerald asks if he can maybe go look for some ingredients after dinner.
 
“Well, you aren’t likely to find anything that useful here just scrounging around the city. You are more likely to get jumped by someone. I mean maybe you are into that sort of thing, but I wouldn’t suggest it. You can go look in the morning.”
 
Emerald swirls his food around on his fork, and then he asks what Joyride is going to do from now on.
 
“Well, now that you mention it~~”
 
Suddenly there is a flash of light and a note swirls out of some ashes. Emerald looks up at it, and then at Joyride, who gestures towards it lazily.
 
Emerald sees who it’s from and begins to read it out loud.

Hello, it’s Hope again! I hope I’m not bothering you with all these letters. I just wanted to say that I’ll be in Whitherwater mid-day tomorrow, and I’ll be staying there for a little while. You and Joyride are there right? We should meet up!

“Yeah, we should totally hang out tomorrow. I’ll write her up and we’ll have dinner some where nice.”
 
Joyride begins writing a letter. Emerald is excited about seeing Hope again, but he realizes that Joyride wanted to talk about something, but seems to have left off.
