Left CO last Sunday headed for AZ for first trip alone since heart attack in June. Ate at a border cafe I always used to stop at for years on the motorcycle. By the time I hit Bloomfield NM, I thought I was going to pass out. Spent three days in a hotel barfing my guts up before I was able to stand up under my own power and drive my ass 8 hours home. Still weak, lost 17 pounds in three days and wasn't able to take anything solid till lunch time yesterday. I don't remember driving over Kenosha pass and barely remember turning into Golden. Not going to repeat this trip, though the truck seems to be able to get home on it's own just fine, like an old horse getting the cowboy home from the saloon.

 

On careful watch for about 5 more hours for possible tornados. So far, so good. One cell with rotation just passed over without producing one, thankfully.

 

Home from a Sunday afternoon pub visit with an added grocery detour. Picked up some things they don’t carry at my little country market.

So I suppose I’m well socialized and well stocked.

 

Still off from work. I fell down the stairs, not all the way down, but more like I missed a step and did like a forwards splits. I swear I kicked the back of my head with my heel with the leg that went backwards. I didn't break anything or tear anything, still tender and using crutches.

With that said I was still thinking on what to do tonight, had some relationship drama hit not really a boiling point but a point of frustration I just blew everything off this weekend and took my nieces and nephew. Give my sisters a chance to party, the most boring people I know lol

Frustrated enough I passed on karaoke on St. Patricks day weekend, it's a given I could've rebounded even with the state of my leg lol but even going into this relationship I know I can make better decisions lol and I just don't do drama, but my weekend was perfect the way it was.

Anyways, I said wondering about what to do tonight but just got a text from my sister about the family meeting up tonight. So some kind of news is coming.

 

Frustrated. Dealing with customer service representatives. I come from a family of 'refund/return' illiterates... Found out last night there's 4 between my Mom and Sisters, so now I'm the one dealing with them. Amazon, Carhartt, Ariat, ffs.

 

Ordering stuff from Amazon, counting down the days until an empty nest and some bucket list travel. Soon. Wait! I need more shit from Amazon!!!

 

Taken right out at the knees, having just watched a video of Ed Begley Jr. playing a drum on St. Patrick’s Day with his family in Ireland.

He has Parkinson’s, and initially demurred, but they gave him a drum anyway and asked him to join.

Oh my heart.

 

I'm at the airport. My holiday in the sunshine is over and I'm not looking forward to going back home to the cold weather.
