When it was posted there were a lot of idw drama image macros being posted. Whoever added it probably thought OP was trying to invalidate this comic arc, but if anything Faust’s (trolling) comment reinforces that facet of Celestia.

You aren’t really “standing up to” anything as an anonymous user in discussion that died several months ago. :P
If you really wanted to stand up to something you should have chosen a newer image, who people are still discussing
The only reason I am here is because you commented, I had the picture subscribed.
You having a job is neither unique nor relevant in the least.
Far from all comments are about the ship at all.
There is also quite a bit about defining and stitching canon, at least that is what I originally commented on.
I could not care any less about who or what people ship or how they define their canon, so your tirade does not concern me all that much.
I am just here to point and laugh, at the sad people, that are getting themselves riled up over cartoon ponies.
see thats what i meant standing up for a ship and some botard comes in and always has something to say against it. and 5 months isn’t even that long. I am not the one complaining about a ship just because I don’t like a ship. Besides if you’re sitting here saying “ a conversation that has been inactive for 5 months” why are you under here then? I actually do unlike some people. I have a thing called a job which I bust my ass off at and come home to see dumb crap like this. I wrote a sentence compared to the book they wrote complaining about it but okay 😂 I’m not the one writing 83 fucking comments over a shipping picture. Why should it matter if it’s 5 months off it’s still my opinion and yet someone is still here to see it like you. You contradicted yourself by coming on here to reply in the first place. At least I actually stood up for something to show why people ship stuff and it’s wrong to bash on others ships and yet you’re under here trying to “get to me” because I did what was right and told the truth about people who like to cause drama for everyone else but mkay anyways cya I did my part here. Please, I could care less what you say back either I’m just going to not even check it because your retarded beliefs have no matter to me.
Coming from someone, who does not have anything better to do, than necro a conversation that has been inactive for 5 months. :9
Everypony tells Pinkie when they’re having foals, and that’s not even taking into account the fact she lives with them.
I’m looking at the “Baby Cakes” transcripts and I’m not sure where you got that impression. Care to explain?
@Pepsi_Al
At that point, Nightmare Moon was considered a myth by the general populace. Would you recognize King Arthur if he showed up?
@Pepsi_Al
Either Twilight misspoke or Granny Smith is really that old.
In cases like that, I assume episodes aren’t in chronological order.
Actually if we’re going in order, Fall Weather Friends aired after Winter Wrap Up, so a full year has to have passed between them. And Luna Eclipsed also appears to happen in autumn, where as Best Night Ever occurs in spring.
And then Celestia says the Season 4 opening is the first Summer Sun celebration with Luna by her side.
Four?
How many years have passed since the start of the show? How many winters?
Of course they have.
Let’s face it, the writers have never had any concept of time or chronology.
Assuming you mean episode proof, then spoiler alert: it is revealed that the Tree of Harmony first grew from a seed planted by the Pillars of Old Equestria (Starswirl and the other legends of magic) and imbued with the elements within them so that it would protect Equestria from darkness in their absence.
Shadow Play proves that the Reflections arc isn’t canon.
In the comics, Starswirl is still around after Nightmare Moon
In the show, he disappears before the Tree of Harmony has grown, let alone the Elements existed.
For that matter, this means significant details of the Journal of the Two Sisters aren’t accurate, as the show established that Starswirl and the Tree of Harmony weren’t around at the same time.
I’m mostly talking about the Aligned continuity family, the one I’m most familiar with. They tried bless them, but nothing seems particularly interested in being in continuity with anything else.
Oh no no no no no, Transformers was never a single universe. And that lets is be a special kind of continuity snarl. There’s a cartoon that’s part of G1 cartoon continuity in Japan, but its own non-G1 continuity in the American dub. There’s the G1 Marvel comic, with its different US and UK versions, followed by the G2 comic which did likewise, and then the US version was then used decades later used for both the Timelines “Classicverse” stories and the Regeneration One comic by IDW, both of which ignored G2 (and, obviously, each other). Characters whose entire personalities are different in different continuities. Galvatron used to be Megatron, except for when he didn’t. Pretty much everything that involved the concept of “multiversal singularities” (look that up at tfwiki, I just can’t face it right now). And there’s more where that came from.
It’s maddening… And kind of fascinating, in its own weird way.

Honestly I think Transformers, Marvel and DC comics, Star Wars and other such snarls of vague canon all suffer from the same problem, there wasn’t quite enough attention paid to quality control and keeping everything totally consistent, the universe was so spread out across multiple sources that few fans could be expected to have read it all, and to be honest few writers could be expected to have read it all. As a result, although they would love to have everything as part of the same canon for the purposes of cross promotion it runs into major problems in execution.
Personally I just go with every new story being it’s own entity, tied together into a whole as a somewhat amorphous cloud of shared continuity that can (and does, even within the show) occasionally change and shift for the purposes of the plot.
Being interested in history, and having studied the bible extensively, I consider it a little like that. The exact events depicted often contradict themselves, but attention should be paid to the context, message, emotional basis and the basic points shared between multiple sources, rather than concrete ‘facts’. Memory is a funny thing after all.

Point is, the comics are not canon to the MLP universe. Can’t accept it, sorry for your situation then.
