Description
The last drawing I drew was accompanied by a lot of words, and I said to myself “Well, why not draw something that continues on from the latest drawing, eh?”. I did… so here’s Technical looking at his past friend.
I decided to go for a “behind-the-walls” approach on how to do the scene. It was initially supposed to be a top-down view of the scene with Technical looking down at them but the best I could do was to create a circle then stretch it out. Not too proud on that one.
Part 8 smiled before holding out their hoof. They brought more words. Not just any words- horse words.
–––––
Tech felt the chilly presence of the strang- no, an old friend. No matter how much he tried to snuggle near them, it was always so cold to touch. Like… like somepony who died. The stallion wondered what happened to them and decided to think more deeper than before. He squeezed his eyes shut and laid still. Only focusing on his memories rather than what surrounded him.
It was a warm Sunday morning, he remembered walking out his own house to go buy potatoes. Everypony he walked past was in a good mood until… he heard a shriek coming from somepony’s house. In no time, he rushed over to the noise. Tech didn’t know what was going on. It was like seeing his own body in a third-person perspective. The stallion saw the front door of the house swinging ajar and burst through it.
Any memory beyond that was gone. Like a locked cage in his mind. Try as he might, he couldn’t get through the metal bars that held his memory in place. He thought it would be best to try another time. Maybe something can remind him and kickstart his brain again. For now, he could only wait for sleep to get him.
He thought back to what they said before they darkened. Can he really escape this Tartarus that he got thrust in? After what he did? After what she did? The fights they both got into? He knows in his heart he can forgive her but can he forgive himself?
They say time heals all wounds but they won’t be able to treat amputation… uh… where was he going with this? It doesn’t matter. What matters is that, he made a promise. Hopefully this time, he can keep it. That positive thought made him smile slightly and waited patiently until he slept next to his old friend.
His lantern shining somewhat brighter than before.
