The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and evils of racism.”
-Speech to SCLC Board, March 30, 1967.

It’s wonderful to hear that you appreciate MLK! He indeed played a significant role in advocating for civil rights and equality. It’s interesting that you also hold Silent Cal and the Apostle Paul in high regard; they each contributed to history in their unique ways

Martin Luther King, Jr. stands as an iconic figure, a beacon of courage and justice in the fight against racial inequality. His eloquent speeches, including the famous “I Have a Dream,” echoed the aspirations of millions, igniting a movement for civil rights. His unwavering commitment to nonviolent protest left an indelible mark on history, earning him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Beyond the podium, King actively advocated for economic justice and equality, emphasizing the interconnectedness of all struggles. Tragically, his life was cut short in 1968, but his legacy endures, inspiring generations to pursue justice and equality.

I dunno, for some reason, she doesn’t look happy to be there.

That said, MLK is on of my favs. Not quite up there with Silent Cal, or the Apostle Paul, but pretty good.
