…And The Princess Fell Under The Serpents Spell!
A commission from letterabcd who wanted me to draw Princess Cadence from My Little Pony Friendship is magic falling under Kaa the pythons powerful hypnotic powers and losing herself in the spiralling swirls, as twirl by twirl, she wrapped tightly within his coily grip!
At first I really didn’t know what type of background to go for, so I went for a Crystal infested cave, I think it looks alright. He wanted pulsating swirls emerging from Kaa’s eyes, so I delivered. Cadence herself wasn’t much of a hassle to draw, though I coloured her line art a tad too early, which cost me some hassle while creating the background.
Anyhow enjoy!

@UTTFISH’S
I have no idea. I liked Kaa in the original Rudyard Kipling stories; he was powerful but also wise, helping (a much more competent) Mowgli escape the monkeys and reroute the Red Dogs. Matter of fact, he was one of the first snakes to be depicted positively in fiction if I remember correctly. If I also remember correctly, Walt Disney showed the writers the original book and said something along the lines of “The first thing I want you to do is not to read it.”

And it went downhill from there, though I must applaud them for Shere Khan.
