Depends on how it’s fermented; in general, more dissolved carbon dioxide = more bubbles = more foam. Alcohol content affects it as well, since sugar allows sturdier foam and the more sugar the less alcohol.

I don’t know, cider is pretty much the only alcohol that tastes good enough for me to drink. I mean as long as it’s either very crisp or very sweet.
 
It’s true though that it gets easier and easier to drink the more you’ve drank.

And remember kids; “it’s an acquired taste” means it tastes bad, and only once you’ve put enough brain cells out of commission will you be able to get past that.
