I wonder about this. How did the exact conversation go? Like what words were exchanged when the two agreed to switch places? And precisely how did they go about it? Did they just verbally agree, that was binding, and it happened? Did they at any point leave in a clause that this is momentary and will switch back again? How did the topic of trading places come up to begin with? Was there any practical reason? Business, curiosity about how others live their lives, reflexive impulses that weren’t thought out?
