i mean likely not privy to big mac’s private life, and certainly not his personal thoughts, so she may not know if he was dating anyone, but definitely doesn’t know whether or not he’s crushed before, like c’mon
but yes i agree that they were just friends joking when they did things like an obviously fake swoon and all
also yeah applebloom is kind of an idiot
I never saw them as a potential couple, so I don’t look into that other than them hanging out and making fun at the experience (marblemac shipper here). However, Bloom said that Belle was “Mac’s first crush,” so your theory doesn’t work. I also won’t consider Sugarmac canon until they have it appear again.
That’s why I said LATER. There are enough shots of them together in the background of later episodes to imply they may have tried actually dating, but they’re obviously not together by the time Mac goes after Sugar Belle.
It didn’t stop them from hanging out together. Also, some would say that was a bonding experience.
