I was in the mood to draw Yona, the best yak from Friendship is Magic probably because I watched She’s All Yak a bit ago), , and I was inspired by Mongolian basket weaving (the yaks’ culture seems to be partially based off of Mongolian culture - but to be honest, I am kind of surprised the series doesn’t focus on that parallel that and they just have them smash stuff most of the time ), and some events in previous episodes.
 
In Uprooted, Yona mentioned that the reason why yaks often smash stuff is because they try to break things down to rebuild them even stronger (which I do like, as it shows they’re not just brainless barbarians ), so I had a feeling that she probably broke down a bunch of old baskets to build them all into something stronger. I also have her making a spider based basket based on when she overcame her arachnophobia in What Lies Beneath - and the one spider she befriended is on her shoulder.
