Depends on the game for me personally. Subtitles can be good too.
There’s actually an old official SuperNES promotional poster that titles “A Link to the Past” as just “Zelda III.” (Though, it says “Coming Soon,” so the game wasn’t out yet, and didn’t have a final name yet.)
In my opinion, simplicity is better. Like Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for example was such a poor title. It should have just been Epic Mickey 2.
I guess they couldn’t think of a better name, but they could’ve at least subtitled it something like “Luigi’s Mansion 3: Horror Hotel,” or something.
I always felt they should’ve titled the second game with a number “2,” just like in Japan actually. As oddly those whom never played the original GameCube game confused it for the original game, or thought it was the only LM game.
Even my nephew was surprised to find out “Dark Moon” was actually a sequel, and he didn’t know there was one before it.
A little weird to have it called Luigi’s Mansion 3 in the United States instead of Luigi’s Mansion followed by a subtitle. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon was Luigi’s Mansion 2 in Japan but not everyone knows this.
I have the first two GameCube & 3DS games, and even the 3DS remake of the original.
The new Luigi’s Mansion 3 looks cool too, and it’s nice to see this series become a trilogy.
how do you know about Luigi’s Mansion games
Even more then Peter Venkman?
Luigi has always been the best ghostbuster.
I kinda like the multiple mansions as it kinda gave it like “levels,” and different types of settings, but I suppose one mansion simplifies things more. Judging by how freakin’ huge LM3’s haunted hotel is, it looks like it’s just going to be one hotel/mansion, so it’s going back to basics.
Also, Luigi can slam ghosts around now with his vacuum. Luigi’s badass.
Actually I take it back my favorite is actually sue pea.
One thing I also hope they’re going to do is make it set in one mansion because I really didn’t like having multiple mansions in dark moon one mansion gives it a really creepy vibe and it gives it a backstory as well.
Hmmm… Hard to say as I like alot of ’em. Maybe Melody the piano girl, or Miss Petunia. (Her deceiving shadow silhouette was especially amusing.)
Yes! I am so glad they are doing that my favorite portrait ghost is bogmire.
Which one is your favorite?
Edited
Good news: Portrait ghosts are coming back. One I saw was a rich, fancy looking ghost chick with a mink coat.
I missed them too, “LM2 Dark Moon” was good, but no portrait ghosts was my only real complaint, and it’s ghost designs were so generic, and less varried.
Oh yeah I forgot. And one thing I want in the third game is for them to bring back the portrait ghosts because I loved that in the first game.
Really? (SSBU even foreshadowed it, with Luigi’s updated grab suction cup Poltergust move.) It’s coming to Switch, and it actually looks very good.
Also, co-op with Gooigi from the recent 3DS remake of the original game will be back, as well as the Scarescraper VS mode from “Dark Moon.”
Best of all, it’s coming out literally on Halloween day.
