Sad to see it go, clearly something didn’t go according to plan, but at least Doxy can learn from this to better handle and raise capital for projects.

Well, that bites. I’ve been a member for nearly a full year now. I greatly dislike any form of recurring subscription - I will always prefer to pay once for a specific product than continually for a nebulous “service” whose worth to me personally can vary wildly from month to month - however I greatly appreciated many of the artists of the team before they joined Prism Girls, so I figured that the site would provide a good method to offer what little support I could. It’s a damn shame to see it go under.
 
I would add my (unasked for) two-cents on why adult subscription services tend to be problematic and what could possibly be done to address those issues, but I doubt that this is either the time (it’s late and I have work tomorrow) or the place.

I imagine it’ll be more at Doxy’s Dungeon, stuff you pay for as part of packs and the like, with the occasional freebie on Tumblr and here by way of advertisint. It’s not a bad model, and one I feel is much fairer than most subscriptions.

It’s funny. People hate to pay for shit online, and yet these same people will gladly just give you their money, so long as you ask them politely.

Shoulda seen it coming. People probably only stayed with the Patreon long enough to get the site open to the public, then they DLed everything and ran.

This is sad, really.

It’s like they say, You either die due to budget shortfalls, or live long enought to be taken down by a hasbro C&D. :P
