After so many years of this fic being out, the question still remains: is it incst, msturbtion, or nrcissism?  
Well, first of all, it’s definitely impossible to impregnate yourself – then again, “yourself” doesn’t usually have both male and female genitalia, but they would probably have “the same” DNA – actually, on second thought, it wouldn’t be the same since they’re not the same people, just similar people, being male and female counterparts. They would still have different chromosomes, ergo, it might be possible for one to impregnate the other and create something deformed, but if they didn’t attempt it (on purpose or accidentally), would it still be wrong? Why is incest wrong, exactly? Is it the biological aspect, is it a cultural aspect, or is it something else? I’m not saying it isn’t, I’m just trying to figure out the semantics of whether it’s okay to ship characters with their genderswapped counterpart.

Uh. Hm. Okay, first off. As a more-or-less direct parallel, he likely wouldn’t be any more homosexual than Rarity is. Second, as much as gay stereotypes generally suck in the first place, I don’t think you can apply human stereotypes to ponies. It always annoys me when someone says “Rainbow Dash is lesbian because rainbow”…
 
That said though I agree about this pairing. Not just that it’s not very good, but the way it was executed made me want to punch Rarity. Repeatedly.

I really dislike this “pairing”, beyond just thinking R63 self-shipping is really unimaginative and borderline creepy. For one thing I don’t think Rarity would be into a stallion like Elusive, because I think she’d want someone far more dashing/heroic and muscular and way less girly, and I’m pretty sure Elusive would be gay with that kind of personality.

Oooh, On a Cross and Arrow. That’s a great fanfic.

Now this was a great fanfiction, one of the few that captured my attention so thoroughly that I just could not stop reading. It is a shame that the sequel has been stuck in perpetual limbo.
