I sincerely hope so. Season rot has claimed even some of the best of cartoons, like Dexter’s Lab and Fairly OddParents. I don’t want to see that happen to FiM.
It isn’t already happening?
I fully believed so up until these last two episodes gave me a shimmer of hope that it wasn’t.
No, the show had its’ season rot back when S2 aired, given how much that season sucked.
Basically, in the HD versions, instead of 3-4 five-minute Werehog stages, you get one 15-20 minute Werehog stage, and that’s if you’re good at the levels; it’s not uncommon for it to take 45 minutes to an hour in your first run through a Werehog level. However, you have a LOT more moves and combos to use, especially if you level up your “Combat” stats (the level-up system is also more complex in the HD versions, with stats to level up for both Hedgehog and Werehog forms, though Hedgehog doesn’t have nearly as much)
But the balance between Day stages and Werehog stages is much better in the HD versions. Heck, overall, the HD versions are superior. …Though the final boss has a different first phase (which you have to repeat several times), and the second phase (which you ALSO have to repeat several times) is similar to the second phase in the Wii version, but you have a super-strict time limit. The Super Sonic section of the final boss is also completely different.
…Well, okay, ALL of the bosses are different in the HD versions, but the final boss, as well as the Dark Guardian boss after the Shamar Werehog stage, are the most different.

Not all that powerful. It still uses Windows XP. I have a powerful laptop with Windows 8 as its OS, but it’s only used for school, and all the students in my vocational high school are required to have one. I’m too lazy to play games with my new laptop.

Sorry, I don’t have any next-gen consoles. The most modern console I had was a PS2, and I only have a modchipped Japanese Sega Saturn now.
@atalarikt
Barring the recent Sonic Boom games, maybe you should look into giving Gens or Colors a go - they’re both pretty good. Maybe even try out Lost World :P
@Lawful Girly
Unleashed is a good game :V The Werehog stages bogged it down a bit, but all in all I feel it has one of the most unfair reps of any Sonic game.

I like the more darker episodes like Party of One and Lesson Zero. In fact I’m hoping that Scare-Master has some Nightmare Fuel it. It’s the Nightmare Fuel that got me into the Brony fandom two years ago after I checked out the Nightmare Fuel page on TVTropes. I also like the more darker Sonic games like Sonic Unleashed as it’s what also got me into Sonic games.
But everyone is entitled to their own opinion, positive or negative, as long as no one is harmed.
Agreed! Season 2 sucked ass!
Ewe sed Itt!
Eye no.
Your know fun :P
Wrong thread.
Barring the recent Sonic Boom games
Somebody really should have.

Well, how powerful is the PC you’re on at the moment?

I had the Wii version, so I wasn’t so fortunate ;_;
The last Sonic games I played were the collection of the classic titles for PS2 and Sonic Advance.
I actually liked the Werehog stages. Well, at least in the PS3 version, anyway.
Unleashed is a good game :V The Werehog stages bogged it down a bit, but all in all I feel it has one of the most unfair reps of any Sonic game.
I do like Sonic Colors and Generations though.
Dude…seriously?
Try the Archie comics series, at least.
