You should use tweens then yo. :D
You could make that iris smoothly slide all over the place in a matter of minutes if you used affine tweens + easing.
It does Tweening, but the software is 20 years old.

What software are you using? If that software can handle tweening, you might be able to speed up your animation process a bit.

This took me 4 hours to make. FOUR!!!! Think how long it would take me to make more then just his eyeball…
