What was happening in Ponyville wasn’t known everywhere else. They captured Spike early so Twi couldn’t get a message to Canterlot, took over the town quickly, and it’s implies this happened over a couple of days so there’s no reason that Cele would necessarily worry to check.

So main 6 were once again forced to deal with a mess that Celestia and Luna left 1000 years ago, and after they struggled to save Ponyville, the princesses just come and give a lecture.
 
Oh come on. Would it be to much to ask for the royal sisters to actually DO SOMETHING. Not only they no longer protect their kingdom from the new threats, they don’t even bother to help in fixing the one they created. At least in S5 E13, Luna tried her best to clean after herself, but in here they just arrive where everything is done and act all wise and mighty. Personally, I think that comics just like the show is very bad in pushing Celestia and Luna out of the picture, and now with Twilight being an alicorn, they prove to be very bad with making sure that she can’t use her power to resolve the conflict.

2.) We’re talking about a whole sapient species here. Punishing species like that is a MAJOR Moral Grey Area, regardless of what they did.

I like this implication of that last one. Everyone else gets one attribute, but Fluttershy? Her bad aspects are so terrible and number so highly as to be indescribable.
