What are you talking about? I AM taking it lightheartedly, it’s funny. Even moreso that people are going so far left-field about the meaning of the picture. It’s not about ‘Less is more’ and ‘slutty isn’t sexy’, to be honest Luna’s outfit is far more inappropriate with that front-slit microskirt. She won’t be able to move at all without revealing something.
 
The joke of this comic is that the fandom ADORES Luna to an absurdity, what with Luna’s super-cutesy ‘Kawaii Desu’ expression. The fans eat that kinda stuff up.

I seriously just think that outfit is trying too hard. Put that outfit on Sonata, Twilight, Sunset, Luna, whoever, and I’d still think the same. It’s a personal preference thing.

While I can understand that a fan of Celestia is dissapointed that she does not get as much screen time as Luna, but how exactly is that the fault of a fictional cartoon pony? I still hope for an episode going deeper into these two. Something which just shows them behaving as sisters, like in “Slice of Life”.
 
And yes, I personally can identify more with Luna due to personal reasons, but if you take a close look they’re both just two sides of a medal.

you can even put Trixie, Adagio, Gummy, Maud, etc in Luna place and outfit and I will still say that they would look more attractive and sexy than half naked Celestia.
 
Maybe if this was nsfw/porn art then I would agree that Celestia wins and makes this pic more fappable but theme of this pic isn’t porn/lewd/smut/nsfw content

Yeah, not even surprised that some people are not gonna take this lightheartedly.
 
I know it hurts that a character with a big role becomes more and more ignored as time goes by, but this at least does not exactly humiliate Celestia for that, and it does have a moral value; appealing to anyone doesn’t always mean looking slutty (I know it’s totally OOC, but OOC jokes are not uncommon among this community, FFS).

there is difference between being sexy cheerleader and whore cheerleader that wear almost nothing nothing. Maybe artist wanted to show that undressing as girl/woman won’t guarantee being most popular just like Celestia though it would end.
