Last time some company replaced a dead voice actor, the estate of the dead actor sued, which resulted in the character being retconned the hell out of existence. AFAIK very mid-series VA switchs have happened this century, most of which are company changes, other cases include Sonic, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger and The Simpsons.

i also imagined a cutie mark is sort of like a key, when you get it your talents in that thing have less limits now but it is still up to you to learn how to use it.
