Honestly, I would be more upset if it’s was a cop-out plot with a big misunderstanding about having a baby, with no real baby or pregnancy. Given nervous expression of Cadance, it’s more than a possibility.

Huh I just now noticed the baby carriage on top of the cake.  
With their expression I am guessing cadence is still pregnant.

On the one hand, I always kinda of assumed this would happen given they’re an expy of the royal couple. But now that it is actually happening, I don’t know anymore

Wouldn’t it be funny if this was from the episode “The One Where Pinkie Knows” and it references Pinkie’s fortune telling in “Its About Time” with the big surprise of Twilight becoming an aunt that everyone hypothesized/joked about back then.

The repopulation program is working! In a few short generations, alicorns will be off the endangered species list.

you know what would have given this away more? a diaper cake. Yup. Big popular baby shower diaper cakes. I really hope they are having a foal though! Probably will be an announcement/party only this season since that’s all we’re seeing in the picture.

To be honest, Shining looks perfectly happy to me. Cadence is the one who looks a bit nervous, probably since she has a living foal inside her.
