I don’t believe that Midnight Sparkle is even going to be a thing.

Does anyone want to take bets that Midnight Sparkle will brainwash/ use her magic to control Crystal Prep and the Shadowbolts? This could lead us to a fourth Equestria Girls film with the true villain that is manipulating Midnight Sparkle and using her to open a portal to the Everfree forest to invade Equestria.

I agree with you, Sombra will have a bigger role. He might give the Human Twilight the magical amulet to track the magic down and absorb the magic from the HuMane Six. Also, after Human Twilight becomes the evil Midnight Sparkle, he will use and manipulate her to fulfill the first stage of his evil master plan and proceed to the second stage to take over the world. We might get to have a fourth Equestria Girls film where Midnight Sparkle will open a portal for Sombra so that he can leads an evil army to the pony Twilight’s world to conquer.

okay okay, we know cadence is gonna be in the movie but don’t get your hopes up there’s still a chance that sombra might play a role in this movie.

On the other hand… I’ve never been a fan of EQG’s “principal” design template. It’s the lips. I don’t like the lips.

Varying factors have led me to believe the mane cast is between 17 and 18. Pinkie is the youngest at 17, and Flutter is 18, while Twilight is also 18, I believe because her magical prowess was lacking until Rainbow jump started it from fifty miles away. Twilight’s specialty was explicity stated to have been discovered thanks to a friend she wouldn’t have until years later that she subsequently gained thanks to a little, tiny dot in her oversized anime eyeball telling her what to do. All of which smacks of an implicit slow developmental cycle. Though, I should be clear I don’t literally mean Autism Spectrum, because I couldn’t imagine it’ll ever come up canonically.
 
As an example, ME! I’m the smartest person alive in the room I’m currently in (I’m alone, to clarify, lol), even though I entered Kindergarten one year later because Mom was fussing over whatever the hell my affliction is called today. XD

I don’t know why they use that model. If they Principal of Crystal Prep is well-designed compared to the Princesses, I’ll be annoyed.
