Feel free to play Eric Prydz - Call On Me while viewing this gif. I would not blame you.

I’m not arguing that the Medic uses magic, what I’m arguing is that of all the mercs, the Medic’s skills are the most fantastic. His medigun doesn’t just heal wounds, but also resetores clothes, and turns allies invincible, or makes them stronger, or makes bubbles around them to protect them from certain damage, that kinda stuff.
He may use science, but is there any merc on the team who comes closer to magic in and of themselves? One of the Medic’s medieval mode alternate names is even Wizard.
Medic’s ubercharges are done with science… as seen in Meet The Medic, as well as the original version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBA2fygYX_w
Not really, isn’t it implied the magic comes from the Spell Books? I think they’re supposed to be haunted…
The mercs are petty dabblers at best, none of them is similar to Merasmus (an actual wizard), although of all of them the Medic is the closest, being capable of using ubercharges (a feat Merasmus seems to emulate through the wheel of fate) and healing and buffing allies.
>_> Not trying to fight, just pointing that out. Don’t hurt me!
And then they ALL learned magic.
Fluttershy does fit the healer in most every game…except this one. Here, the “healer” is literally an insane doctor, a mad scientist. Fluttershy doesn’t fit either of these. At all.
Twilight on the other hand, has an honest-to-goodness “mad science basement” (or had one at least, until Tirek blew it up)…and Medic has shown an interest in learning magic after fighting Merasmus…
It happens a lot less frequently with my own work. Probably because people are aware of the limitations I have to work with.
Then again, I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve posted an image that had more than two or three of them to this site.
@mattwo
Why everytime some artist post a crossover pic of the Mane six with the TF2 mecs, suddenly a random person appears and express his/her like differences towards the Mane6/Merc crossover?
Is getting annoying
Doesn’t really matter, I just went with the models I had. I was more than happy to ditch Zecora for Berry Punch when someone made new models of them, sans Democora and I’d be just as happy to ditch Fluttershy and Twilight. There really doesn’t seem to be a better fit for engineer though, what with Big Macintosh being the heavy.
Also, please no one be mad at me, I’m not wanting to start a fight or nothing. :( I’m just stating my opinion and nothing else.
Engineer-Jack stops making sense once you look past the accent thing. Applejack is subtly hinted at not being overly bright. Not quite stupid, but she refers to foreign languages as ‘speaking in fancy’. Plus, even a Medic can kick a lone Engineer’s ass.
FlutterMedic was originally made to fulfill the idea of making Fluttershy the healer, but seems to also be aided by peoples’ desire to make Fluttershy the single innocent member of her team, even while aiding them in mass murder. A guy sending other guys to kill people still has blood on his hands, much less a guy helping other guys kill people.
Twilight Sniper makes no sense at all. People have to stretch just to pretend there’s logic to it, and even then it makes less sense than Applejack as Engineer. It seems more like she was put as Sniper just to put her somewhere.
