Description
Today, June 26th, 2015, the United States Supreme Court has ruled in favour of same-sex marriage. ALL 50 STATES are now required to allow same-sex couples to marry and to honour those marriages across America. Though the fight for equality is far from over, this is a HUGE step in seeing LGBT folk become more and more accepted as time goes by. Good job, everyone. We’re getting it done.
Honestly, I cried seeing it today. I cried because, although I’m young and so is my boyfriend, I can marry him. I can marry the person I love and it’s okay.
I’m emotional. I need to lay down. Have some sparkly horses.

See, that’s the problem I have with this. It may sound nice and all, but what it really means is that the government now has more control than ever over who gets to be married. All this does is force people to conform to ideas and definitions of marriage they personally might not even agree with because some politicians made it a law.
If anything, a better idea would be to get the government out of marriage altogether, not have them take over people’s lives by force. It’s not like the government belongs in our bedrooms anyway.
That train of thought works for me-gotta admit bridal-themed Applehats(R) lighten my cankered heart. Carry on.
I was thinkin’ it, then I decided I needed to draw ruffles and then this happened. (I like to think Applejack would dress fancy for Dashie because it makes her happy tbh it’s adorable)
Anyhow, nice fluffy-eared ponestyle, though now I’m visualizing a wedding pic where both parties are rockin’ the black.
