I’d almost bet that points towards Twilight’s “But I wasn’t prepared for THIS!” referring to “being ordered to move away from Ponyville and to the Crystal Empire capital to help set things up”.

What is stranger to me is that nearly all of the characters seem to have some changes in their hair color, either with added colors or just different (in Rainbow Dash’s case).
