I honestly think at this point that no matter what I set as lore for such things, it would be a let down to people. There’s just been too many ideas from people and all of them are really good :P
Lore suggestion: This is actually the ghost of Poppyjack’s creator, a mare who was so enthusiastic about bringing things to life that she not only persisted after death, but her special talent seeped into the walls of the house, creating the odd little wonderland that GMHAA finds himself in.

Also Part 4. Koichi Hirose and Yukako Yamagishi. Yukako falls down a cliff, but Koichi saves her life by attaching the Japanese word for “Boing!” on the jagged rocks below. X3

That’s Part 4. Anjiro becomes a rock, Pearl Jam inhabits all the food Tonio cooks, and Yoshikage Kira steals Kosaku Kawajiri’s identity. However, the arc isn’t a Face/Off parody… It’s also a Groundhog Day parody. XD
