“Its always funny when a cartoon show reaches an unexpected demographic outside of its marketed viewership.
Though when a show has something special, anyone can appreciatescream and cry over it it really.”

LITTLE GIRL GET OUT OF THERE!
KYUBEY IS IN YOUR ROOM!
RUUUUUUN!!!!
Adult Swim and daytime CN don’t always go the same directions, from what I understand.
Welp Samurai Jack is screwed. Again.
It seems to me that it’s not DC in particular that CN is eager to screw over so much as action cartons in general.
No my friend.
I don’t know much of YJ’s production history, but GLTAS for one was dead on arrival. Judging from what its producer, Giancarlo Volpe, had stated, the cartoon was meant to ride on the film’s wave and sell toys - when the film proved a failure, no company wanted anything to do with any GL toys whatsoever. That’s what killed GLTAS: Warner Bros’ incapacity to do justice to the DC universe.
Plus, it’s clear CN doesn’t want DC in his playground anymore. Save for Teen Titans Go!, the whole DC Action block was pulled off the air in a most humiliating manner. Hiatus after hiatus after hiatus after hiatus… The animated shorts’ fate is what I find to be especially tragic.
I can almost swear you’re trying to be insulting.
lolno
You’re trying to twist this into something it isn’t.
If MLP’s original target audience wasn’t buying it, Hasbro would cancel the show without a care, make no mistake.
Funny thing is Mattel was willing to give a shot even after the main toy line was discontinued, they where taking pre-orders of a Miss Martian/Superboy two pack but only canceled it as it didn;t meat the minimum required for production.
So it actually WAS the unexpected female audience that got the show canned, not the toys as Mattel wouldn’t of even tried if it was just the sales being the reason for it being canned.
Dunno if it was a week, to be honest, but yes, the toys had barely reached the shelves before the powers that be decided to cancel it. And that was precisely the problem. You can’t sell toys that stores won’t stock. And when your TV show is supposed to be a loss leader for a toy line, that’s a really bad sign.
And by that I mean it was only a week at most that it’s toys got out before the news of the show being canned was known.
Young Justice was canned before it’s merch was on the shelves so that is not why.
Well, both Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice got canned because they weren’t moving the merch; the unexpected female audience wasn’t looked on as a benefit by Time Warner, though. Too bad…
*because CN didn’t
I think you mean “Kids watched Korra and boys watched Green Lantern?” :P
But ya, that Green Lantern show got canned because didn’t like how an older female demographic was watching it.
Makes you think about how it’s the reverse of FiM but it got shutdown for it unlike with us….
Not according to the ratings.
And suddenly this pic became extremely dark.
Lets hope she just has good taste in anime. Or that her wish doesn’t screw her over too badly.
there are like tons
You are reading far more then is meant there. it’s no good fan/bad fan.
it’s target demographic fans/unexpected demographic fans.
