Twilight seems to have a knack for getting antagonists to become a little more compassionate. I don’t think a hardened loner such as Shadow is any more difficult. After all, Twi did have a Shadow-like personality in the first episode.

Neither do I. From what I understand is that they are both the most powerful ones amongst their friends, and another is because of their immortality. But I think the latter one is jossed somehow because we know that Twilight is not immortal.
On a side note, the art is very well done, and for a ship that many of you here considered as a crack ship, this one gets a surprisingly positive score.
