The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Barring Blaziken and Venusaur, at this point, anything is better than fully-evolved starters. Starters have pretty much always sucked.

Swampert had a great run in Gen 3, though.

Anyway, Impious got everything right. Gyarados has just the right stats, movepool, and typing to be good. Hell, a player can easily bulldoze his way in-game up to the Elite Four with just Gyarados since it’s better than fully evolved starters.

Oh God, none of those are reasons why Gyarados is good.

See, Gyarados has high attack and high bulk, and barring the quad electric weakness his typing has good resistances. In addition to high bulk thanks to Intimidate and great attack, he gets Dragon Dance, allowing him to boost his speed and attack, turning him into a sweeping monster.

He also gets a great physical movepool.

Salt Miner.
Gyarados’s quad-weakness is more than compensated by his high stats and wide variety of teachable TM moves.

I think Spike’s more like a Gible. He’s an okay kid who’s good for comic relief, but when he matures he’s a monster that can punch out the gods.

Again type advantage can be applied to all Pokemon, have a good enough ice type and you should make little work of a Garachomp too, or a fighting type with a Snorlax.

Still, fast enough pokemon with a high enough attack/special attack can one hit ko gyarados with an electric type attack, especially if it’s an electric type pokemon.

Bullshit. Type advantage can be applied to every Pokemon, and it’s stats speak for itself, since it’s still considered on the best Pokemon in the game.

Uh, you do realise that a well place electric type attack can easily take out gyarados.

F*cking thing is barely an upgrade from magikarp.
