Well, Twilight brainwashed the entire town of Ponyville on purpose in order to create a friendship report. Pinkie brought a bunch of clones to Ponyville, causing a TON of damage might I add, on purpose in order to satisfy her friends. Fluttershy kept a dangerous Parasprite on purpose because she thought it was cute and in another episode STEALS Celestia’s pet in a faulty attempt to heal it.
No legal punishment and very few bat an eye. I’m sure a lot actually took notice, but not a lot were very, or at least not as, vocal.
Rainbow Dash destroys bits/the entire weather factory? Cut her head off! Jail her! Serve justice!
Everyone taking the scene so horrendously seriously, why? Because Rainbow Dash was being selfish. Even though that’s not anything new to note.
I would’ve liked it if the episode who do a scene where all the action and chaos abruptly cut to the aftermath where Dash sits in jail and her friends visiting her only to tell her “She dun goof”.

The difference between all those cases and this one is that Rainbow caused all that damage on purpose, and with full understanding of her actions.

And then become a wanted criminal with a high bounty and an extended prison sentence after getting caught. Then be sent to a higher secured prison where the only thing not locked down is the soap.
That is the sorriest looking prison I’ve ever seen. No wing restraints, bars wide enough to slip your head through, a massive window with thin bars… Rainbow would escape that prison in, as much as I hate to use an outdated meme, 10 seconds flat.
Yeah right. Twilight trashes ponyville with Smarty pants, Fluttershy infests it with Parasprites, Pinkie zerg-rushes it with clones, Applejack causes a rabbit stampede, Rarity transmogrifies it with dark magic, Spike tramples it underfoot in a greed growth rampage, Derpy nearly destroys town hall, Snips and Snails unleash an URSA MINOR…. nothing.
But Rainbow Dash dings up the weather factory and goes to a dungeon? For death and destruction THAT DON’T ACTUALLY HAPPEN IN THE EPISODE? WTF is it with bronies and their allergy to common sense?
