It’s a good thing tortoises live a long time.  
Now that observation made me think of who’s pet would pass away first.

This was her losing a pet for three months. Imagine how she’ll be leaving all her other friends.

Or, you could move to a location with no winter. Appleloosa seems to be quite welcoming.
