Why is there so much potatoes as your side dish?
Besides, rice is better than pasta.
And give up homemade mashed potatoes, Cavendish fries, KD, Perogies, Baked Potatoes, pasta in general, and M&M Potato Wedges among many other preferable side dishes? What madness do you speak of?

Rice is the perfect side dish. You can eat anything with it.
Probably from the same weird anti-flavor dimension where you’ve been getting your rice, boyo. :P
I could never get Soy Sauce to spread evenly with the rice.

But it’s true. I’ve been stuck with white and Jasmine for god knows how long and my family never does anything to dress up the flavor other than add shrimp every now and again. Only rarely will they refry it with some steak, egg, and rice and actually have it taste good.
So are taters. So, one’d add gravy or meat drippings or Broccoli. (If anypony wigs out over me liking broccoli as a child, I will knife them in the ribs.)
there are a lot of rice recipes you can try if the plain one is not palatable (java,garlic, yang chow, fried…)

But it’s so tasteless.
