This comic Fridge Horrored the Reflections Arc into something even more heartwrenching, because it means that Mirrorverse Sombra was able to repress his true nature and be a kind and generous ruler for a thousand years, and gave that up for love so that Celestia could remain as she is.

If it’s the comics, they don’t even necessarily need all the pieces, since there’s a spare Sombra in the mirrorverse whose body could theoretically be of use.

They need to have Sombra as a stallion who lets his actions do the talking and when he talks, everybody listens. That, and have him voiced by Crispin Freeman.

I believe it was their intention to piggyback on the pansy concept that Hasbro requested about Princess Amore “Shattered but not dead”, and used it to justify the potential return Sombra. Explaining that Amore could regain her body even after being crystalized and broken in shards, they are giving a big hint that the same thing could happen if somepony reunites every fragment of the dark king.
 
With this ending, they are covering every base, SOmbra could return to both the show and/or the comics without contradicting any of the two sources (though of course, the whole explanation and origin story would be only in the comics, unless they start animating them, which would be awesome).

You know, this got me to thinking. Was this to hint at Sombra possibly returning in the show or simply to build up for another comic issue. ‘Cause I really think he deserves another show addition, but their they’d have to work in Elements of the comics to at least give the show Sombra some character and history.
 
Although, that might be tricky as well, while I love some of the things in the comics, I kind of doubt they’ll ever appear in the episodes. Which is a shame. Some of these comics, had they been animated, would have been some of the shows best. {Of course, others would have made some bottoms or medoicre lists, but the show has some of those too.}

But the quote is far older then that, if Disney where to sue for this usage then Queen Elizabeth can sue Disney for using it as in England when the old monarch dies and the new takes there place they have a traditional proclamation of “The King/Queen is dead, long live The King/Queen!”
