In two movies, he acknowledges her existence exactly once, and that’s when, under the effects of siren magic, he’s the first member of what I like to call the “Sunset Shaming Squad” to pipe up, setting off the rest.
 
My headcanon is that he dumped her for a reason, and the way she manipulated him still hurts, plus he’s not convinced she’s really changed, but when he’s not under the effects of a musical hate plague he’s a mostly decent (if boring) guy, so he doesn’t want to get in her face over it. But he doesn’t think he can be friendly with her, and doesn’t really want to anyway, so he usually just acts like she doesn’t exist. He hasn’t quite realized that being passive-aggressive about it is still pretty mean-spirited.

Whatever Flash is, I can’t help but feel he’d be a better one if they fleshed him out a little. Then they can use him to address stuff he’d need to do things for, like, say, how do you handle it if your crush doesn’t get along with your friends. (One of Twilight’s friends, in particular, I still don’t think he’s quite fond of.)

You know, there really is nothing wrong with Flash having some kind of romantic relationship with Twilight. The attraction is already there, obviously. All that’s needed now is a little together time.

I started liking Flash Sentry more with the announcement of Rainbow Rocks back in December 2013. Hopefully he can be a main character instead of a supporting character in the next movie, Friendship Games.

Mauroz is his own man, he gets to do what he wants. As he said, the story can go anywhere. Plus, mostly everypony (except people like you) are pretty much tired about hearing this TwiFlash love interest. Truth be told, as I learn more about him, I hardly think he’s a love interest anymore. To me, he’s there for Twilight to mature and especially since the entire basis of MLP and EQG is a “girl’s show”, he’s a representation of what girls must eventually face in their future lives. Flash is a step and experience for Twilight (and for the young girl audience) on how to cope with the opposite gender.
 
P.S. Are you RIG? I can tell since you use the words “Flash Cliche”, especially quite a lot during that… Time. Regardless, I see you’re staying anon so you have ‘nothing to lose’. Let me tell you something, even if you’re anon, your actions and the words you type describe who you are. I can tell from before that you showed disgust about the ‘Flash Cliche’ through your words. Quite a disheartening and dark emotion. You need to have the courage to step out and speak for yourself.
